USCIS to Employment-based Adjustment of Status Applicants: Send in Medical Forms ASAP

Fiscal Year 2022 is ending on September 30, 2022 and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) directed employment-based visa applicants to submit medical forms as soon as possible to ensure more efficient processing and to use as many available visas as possible before the fiscal year ends.

In its announcement, the USCIS specified the necessity of an urgent submission of Form I-693 or Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record by employment-based adjustment of status applicants within the U.S. It further stressed that they are currently proactively identifying pending I-485 applications that lack valid Form I-693 and are directly contacting applicants to the form hence unsolicited submissions is discouraged. Pls, do not send your medical reports to USCIS without an RFE notice being issued to you by USCIS. You could get the medical report ready in advance. So when USCIS asks for it, you could send it over ASAP. The medical report is valid for 2 years from the date the surgeon signs the form.
